Paris

Hey guys! We are back with another article. Today, I will tell you something about the capital city of France – Paris. This city has been on my bucket list for years now and I finally got the chance to visit it last summer with my family. Here is a list of some of the most famous attractions you must visit in Paris:

1. Eiffel Tower

One of the most significant landmarks in Paris is the Eiffel Tower. I think it goes without saying that visiting this place is a must when you are in Paris. The tower consists of three levels – the 1st and 2nd floor, and the top. You have to buy a ticket if you want to go on the Eiffel Tower. The prices vary from 10 – 30€ depending on which floor you choose and whether you want to climb the stairs or take the elevator. If you are afraid of heights then I definitely recommend going to max the 2nd floor and taking the elevator. Me and my family went to the second floor and we had beautiful views of the entire Paris. We took the elevator on our way to the top but took the stairs on our way back because we wanted to stop on the first floor. I also recommend visiting the tower at night, so you can see it when it is lit up and the show when it sparkles for a few minutes. It is absolutely magical.

2. Louvre museum

Another place that you absolutely have to visit is the Louvre museum. There are so many things you can visit at the Louvre. From the famous glass pyramid, paintings, and works of art including the famous Mona Lisa painting, greek sculptures, and objects from ancient Egypt or Rome, all the way to the Louvre’s beautiful gardens. The museum is open every day of the week except for Tuesday. The tickets are free for everyone under the age of 26, but you have to show your ID or any other identification when you are 18-26 years old.

3. Notre Dame

Notre Dame is a medieval Cathedral located in Paris. Because of the fire from a few years ago, Notre Dame is under construction, so you cannot go inside. However, you can still enjoy its exterior beauty from the outside. Very close to it are lovely coffee shops and bookstores. If you love reading, I definitely recommend visiting the famous Shakespeare and Company bookstore as well as their coffee shop.

4. Arc de Triomphe

Arc de Triomphe is a landmark located on the famous Champs-Élysées. The monument honors those who fought for France during the French revolution. If you want to, you can go to the top of the Arc and have wonderful views not only of the Champs-Élysées but also of the entire Paris. The street Champs-Élysées is full of different shops and cafés.

Paris is a beautiful city and I cannot wait to go back. As I said, this article only lists places you must visit in Paris. I will talk about other places worth visiting here in another article.

I hope you enjoyed this article and make sure to check out other places on our site.
